In our portfolio you will find more than 20 wines rated “best buy” or “great value,” more than a dozen that have been rated over 90+, dozens that have won double gold or gold medals in major international wine competitions. By any measure, great wines.

They’ve been making wine in South Africa for 350 years, but in modern times they were unable to trade with the rest of the world until the end of Apartheid. It has taken a little while, but America is now discovering the amazing distinctiveness and variety of South African wines.

South Africa is a country with two oceans, 11 official languages, a Floral Kingdom with more plant diversity than in all of Europe, and topography that creates a seemingly unending number of microclimates. The wine industry is the perfect reflection of “The Rainbow Nation” with variety, diversity, and distinctiveness in every bottle. No wonder exports of South African Wines to the US grew by 7% in 2009, and wine critics are hailing the value of South Africa’s wines:

“For those seeking more outright value, South Africa is teeming with choices.” Wine Spectator

“The best of these wines will satisfy even the most inveterate fans of European wines—and at far gentler cost” Steve Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar

So, please use the search or menu to the right to learn a bit more about the great South African wines we import. Some of them are already available in the US, and as we expand distribution we will update where they are available, so go to the Connect page to contact us, follow us on Facebook, or Twitter, or our blog, or sign up for our monthly newsletter.
